Where the mood is always jolly,
It happens thanks to Molly,
For she puts us all at ease.

Happiness is something found,
On the banks of Rio Caule,
With our loving Molly,
She’s the hostess,
With the mostest,
Who is always bound to please.”

"Unique Stay in PV"
We spent two weeks at La Casa del Puente in '96. This is a private villa owned by Molly Muir, a long-time PV resident and relative of the American naturalist John Muir. Her home is right on the Rio Cuale, visible from the bridge that takes traffic northbound on Insurgentes. Access to her villa is through the kitchen of the restaurant La Fuente del Puente. Molly lives in a self-contained suite on the top floor. The rest of the villa has been converted into 3 apartments....ours was a large one with a separate bedroom, large bathroom, full kitchen and separate dining area and a huge open-air living room/patio overlooking the river.....all beautifully furnished. She negotiated a rate that compared favourably with the budget hotel we were going to stay at. The place was kept spotless by Molly's "major domo", with fresh linensand towels, etc. We learned of La Casa del Puente in Lonely Planet. For a really unique experience....one that simply cannot be duplicated staying in a regular hotel... we heartily recommend La Casa del Puente.

7/18/2009 John and Kim Just a note to thank you Molly for another great experience. Your hospitality and friendship is what makes spending time at Casa del Puente such a wonderful and relaxing vacation. A special thank you for helping us with the dental appointment. Looking forward to returning soon!
3/6/2009 Ryla & Mason Simmons Case Del Puente is an amazing place to stay in PV! Someone in San Diego spilled the secret of Molly and her fantastic hide away right on the river. Molly is a fantastic hostess - and it was the perfect place to spend a week of our honeymoon in May of 2008! Although Molly could charge much more than she does, she keeps the prices more than reasonable! We cannot wait until we visit you again in your beautiful home, Molly. Highly recommended to anyone that wants a creative and unique experience in PV.
2/19/2008 Teresa Ballard Miss Molly...We have known each other for over 20 yrs. and I have to marvel about the magnificent days we all spent with each other, wether, having a great oyster dinner at your home, hearing mariachi, traveling south to Careyes and Barra de Navidad...Your home and its hostess is the best that we had ever imagined...Thank you, me dear friend...Love You, Teresa
1/12/2008 Kelly & Albert I have come a few times over the years and stayed at Casa Del Puente. It has been absolutely wonderful. Mollie & her staff have always taken great care of me and my friends & family. It is located in such a magical place along the rio cuale. I recommead for anyone to stay here and have the time of your life. Great location in the true heart of Puerto Vallarta.Best wishes to Mollie & Family, Kelly & Albert
12/10/2007 Susan Quinn What a lovely place to spend a holiday! (Too bad I cannot take her up on the cancellation that she received for xmas 07!) We arrived here early due to a bad experience in Yelapa (propane oven exploded) and we were welcomed. If you desire a place that is private, spotless, comfortable, and easy to find... this is it! Some good restaurants nearby- both budget and pricey too. Mollie knows the area so she can point you to whatever you need- pharmacy, grocery, restaurant, doctor, etc. Just walking is great too. The best part is the rest and relaxation!
6/17/2007 Alana Bishop My guest book entry is unique. I had left from San Francisco with 3 others on a 40 ft. sail boat...our plan was to sail to Costa Rica. To make a long story short....personalities clashed. I jumped ship in Purerto Vallara..a very brave thing to do...considering all the "haul" which I stashed into bags from the local market. I knew the town from previous trips...so I felt comfortable. Molly's place had always been a very interesting place to me...I knew it as the place across from the "Bistro" restaurant. Would I ever have thought that one day this would been my refuge? I trudged to the door...all my bags in tow....a diminuative lady met me, after I had gonged the bell. She had a black cigarette in a cigarette holder...this I knew was the right doorstep to call upon. She welcomed me, and took me upstairs. I told her my tale and she gave me "her" bed. Literally...she let me stay in her own bedroom...while she stayed on the long couches in the main room....for days ! I have "never" in my life felt so welcomed. I felt more at home with Molly, in 2 hours, than I had on the ship I was navigating/boarding for 6 weeks!! We talked, and ate, and generally had a wonderful visit. She gave me info on beaches and restaurants etc. She is one wonderful unique "gal". It finally came to the choice of going home to my family for Christmas...or staying. I went home........but oh! in my heart...I would have stayed. I never have forgotten you Molly.......you are the "PERFECT HOSTESS". Love..Alana Bishop Canada
